When to vote
City of Crossville municipal election is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026. Early voting is Oct. 14 through Oct. 29. Cumberland County Commission, County Mayor, and Sheriff were on the Aug. 6 county general. Those races are over. Residents can still ask them about a county ALPR ban.

Commission winners come from the Aug. 6 Election Summary Report . They cannot cancel Crossville’s city cameras. They can still ban Flock, Axon, and other county ALPRs. Roster and meetings: Cumberland page.
Ask in writing
Questions to ask
Ask at forums, on campaign pages, at the door, and in letters the paper will print. Sitting officials with a published inbox can be emailed. Challengers on the 3B list did not publish campaign emails there. Do not use a city form as if they already hold the seat.
City Council candidates
Cancel, remove, and ban. Voter referendum before any return. If not a clear yes, ask what it would take. City candidates were asked for a public Flock position by email or by a short on-the-record text; both wordings are on the scorecard.
Will you vote to cancel Crossville’s Flock contract, remove the cameras, and enact a full city ban on Flock, Axon, and any other automated license-plate reader or similar mass-surveillance tool—and require a voter referendum (same idea as Crossville’s water referendum) before the city may ever bring those tools back? County Mayor, Sheriff, Commission
The site’s admin has not asked county officials the city cancel question. As far as this research shows, Cumberland County does not have a Flock or ALPR contract. Residents can still ask them to ban those tools.
Will you vote to ban county purchase, lease, funding, or operation of Flock, Axon, or any other automated license-plate reader or similar AI mass-surveillance tool? Confirm in writing whether the county or Sheriff already has any such agreement. Please put that answer on the record.

One 2022 vote is already on the minutes
On December 13, 2022, City Council minutes record a 4–0 consent vote (Shanks, Gernt, Crawford, Turner) that included the Flock purchase. That was a bundled consent agenda, not a 2026 campaign quote. That vote is not a 2026 answer. Turner is the only person from that roll call on the Nov. 3 ballot.
November 3
City Council candidates
3B Media published the Election Commission qualifying list on Aug. 20. That story lists names. It does not quote a Flock position. Email, text, and Oct. 8 Playhouse forum answers are on the scorecard. Kristopher Cole is on both races; he is one row there.
Regular council seats
Danny R. Wyatt
On Sept. 13, 2026, Danny Wyatt told this site’s admin in a text message that if he had to make a decision today, he “would not support” having the cameras up. That is not a pledge to cancel the contract.
Greg Wood
On Sept. 16, 2026, Greg Wood emailed that he believes anything associated with AI needs guardrails. He has not given a clear answer on cancel yet.
Robbie Poore
On Sept. 17, 2026, Robbie Poore emailed that other cities are not evidence Crossville PD has misused the system. On Sept. 18, 2026, he emailed that he supports making substantially more information about Crossville’s Flock use public without repeated records requests. He has not given a clear answer on cancel yet.
Mike Turner
Incumbent. No reply to repeated emails. Spoke about Flock at the Oct. 8 Playhouse forum; see the scorecard Forum column.
Kristopher Cole

On Sept. 15, 2026, Melinda Kelsey emailed that she is researching additional information regarding Flock. She has not given a clear answer on cancel yet.
Louis Morrison
No reply to repeated emails. Absent from the Oct. 8 forum; his read statement listed flock cameras among city concerns. See the scorecard Forum column.

County Mayor, Sheriff, and Commission

The Aug. 6 summary lists Tom Isham and write-in totals for the 2nd District’s two-seat race. A second certified winner is not confirmed here, so that seat is not a named row.

Mayor R.J. Crawford and Mayor Pro-tem Art Gernt have terms listed through Dec. 3, 2026 and are not on the Aug. 20 3B council qualifying list. Councilmember Mark Fox’s term runs through Dec. 4, 2028.
